The official 2009 makeover edition

I started with a new hair cut. Got tired of that long hair. It's supposed to be nice out today I don't know if I will stay home and stitch or go out and play. I need to get my to do list ready to go. I am taking the year off from baby stuff after I get Aimee's sampler stitched for Wyatt. If those kids have anymore they are stitching for themselves this next year.

Well I survived Christmas 2008

Well I managed to survive this year with a few days left till I turn 46. John also has a birthday on the 28th. We just finished dinner and Aimee and her family went home cause little John wanted to play with his toys so grandma is going to kick back and maybe stitch something.

Well not much to report.

Chrissy has my camera so the only one I have is my cell phone. I am thinking about what to stitch next??? I have things I should be stitching but what fun is that? Though I know my daughter will be nagging me just shortly. I did rearrange my room and as soon as I am done I will be sitting on my butt stitching and watching football! oh and Laurel...I can't paint a fence or make a hamberger but I can play the piano. we had a little snow over here but now the sun is out. Don did not get a deer yesterday, maybe today. Everyone is soing good over here so I have having a good christmas week so far...

Baby pics and a new addition.

My Bestest friend sent me a new addition. This is my new kitty, and her name is Lizzy. She is all decked out for Christmas and guarding my stash. She will be watching over things here at stocking central and the stitching room. Bubba, little cat and cocoa are just delighted. Also I added a few pictures of the little one...one in his stocking and the other with his older brother john.

Ornaments for aimee's tree

TA DA!!! ornaments done. They will be delivered today when we visit her. With these out of the way I just need the finishing touches on cameron's stocking to send off hopefully on tuesday and then that will just leave Wyatt's birth sampler. At least 2008 was a productive stitching year. I am hoping for more of the same in 09.

Todays News

I think this is going to be a present for John and Aimee from wyatt. Aimee reports today that the baby had his eyes open for an hour or so. They are also moving him to the 8th floor which is a step down unit so he is no longer in the "nicu". They are expecting him to come home around saturday.

A better day.

Today we have a picture of Wyatt and Mom reports that they took him off the oxygen so that is good. Now to fatten him up a little and he can come home. Then I babysat tonight so Jason and Chrissy could go to a couple of Christmas Parties. Here they are before leaving with their two youngest ones Angelina and christopher. Next up Chrissy is starting to decorate and she hung the stockings I made for the kids and I was sooo tickled to see them and last but not least is Christopher and Felix the grand cat.

He's Here......finally!!!

Well Wyatt is here. he was born at 5:01pm today 12/05/2008 weighing in at 6 lbs and 10 ozs and was 18 1/2 inches long. I am so glad it was a long day. My poor baby so had such a long day and did sooo good. This is baby #5 for me and # 11 total.

Wyatt's Stocking

Well how do you like it so far? Aimee is at the hospital and they will decide what they are doing with her tomorrow.

Finally....

I can't believe they are finally Done!!! Now I just need to sew them into stockings and they can go home and Wyatt's is just in time since he should be arriving next wenesday. I got most of my shopping done too. what a banner day.

Aimee's Baby Party.

Saturday November 29th we had a little party for Aimee and Wyatt. We had food,family,friends and that just perfect! My cousin Trace and her daughter Lexi came from Michigan and my friend Laurel came from over Amherst way. We had a very nice time and Aimee got some great things for her new baby. Her stocking is coming along great too. Next is the baby sampler.

Thanksgiving 2008

Was a success. I took a few pictures. One of Grandpa Don and John going to feed the deers. The next one is Aimee and John and Pete and Little John and the grand dog Zeus....the last one is Zeus who got into trouble when he tried to nap the turkey off the counter. Aimee didn't think it was funny.

We are having turkey and stuff here at about 3 pm. Aimee is off work at 2pm. then I want to watch football and stitch. Hope everyone has a stitchy day.

It's not a stocking or an ornament......

In a totally selfish move today I stitched for me!!! I had been wanting to stitch the companion piece to skating for a while now and I finally got it done. Every year when I hang skating for the winter I always think I need to do skiing....no more it's done now. and in one day too....

Ornaments Galore!

Anyone who knows me knows I love Lizzie Kate. This year I have stitched two of her ornaments so far. I am trying really hard no to get my "tinsel in a tangle" as the days before Christmas and a new grandbaby and all set in. LOL wish me luck.

News

Well nothing drastic but Don is working again for a week or so. They sat still cause they had been running and were tired and hadn't had candy yet. Aimee's bun is still in the oven and she is 32 weeks now and the Dr. said after a few more weeks she is ready to go. I say she is waiting until at least December. I did start the last stocking today. I have a field trip tomorrow and so that will be 6 hours of paid stitching. :)

Boo Crew and news

Here is 4 grandbabies and 2 friends...I can't believe I got them all to sit down. From left to right is a friend ...he was well behaved so I'm not sure what his name is since I didn't hear it much. then is my grandson John and he is looking at Dylan, Christopher is sitting in front of Dylan and then Angelina and Tyler...

I did get the name graphed for Aimee's baby sampler and did get the supplies for the stocking. Hopefully I can get the stocking done by the 29th.

Halloween 2008

Every year I can't wait to see how they dress up these cats. Last year the calico one was dressed as a mouse.

Stocking Redo......

I am taking wyatt's name off his stocking and adding pete's in it's place and doing a shepherd's bush for Wyatt. I should have done one in the first place since all my grandkids have shepherds bush ones and I know aimee wants one badly. so.............I have one more shepherd's bush to do this year and then I will take a stocking break but I still have 3 stockings to do for Don's daughters 3 girls so I will probably start those in the summer.

Cameron's Stocking is done

Just some backstitching now and beads. It's done there is a few mistakes but nothing that I can't live with. But at least it is one more DONE!!!!!!!

Update on Stocking....

Here is the update on Cameron's Stocking. there is a mistake here or there but since he never stitched it he won't know. Aimee is doing good. She goes to the Dr. next week but so far no pains. So that is good.

Boy I sure hope she can keep that baby in there. Aimee was to the Dr. yesterday and she is having trouble with contractions. they told her not to work but since she is the only one working that isn't a good option. she only worked 5 hours too. If it isn't one thing to worry about it's 2 or 3 others. I am working this afternoon. Don is fixing the heater, we have a wood burner but I wanted the other one working just in case. so that is being done. I stayed up till 10 last night stitching on the stocking for Cameron. I might can get things done if I don't sleep till Christmas. HA!

When it rains .......

It Pours. Aimee has been having trouble with early labor pains. I hope she can keep it in there a while longer. I am on pins and needles with her now.....maybe they are stitching needles....LOL I can only hope.

well according to my daughter yesterday was a no sleep day.

First she was banging on my door at 10AM wanting me to make that fruit salad so I climbed out of bed, made fruit salad and sent her on her way. I come home from work and take a shower and get my jammies on and at 8PM she shows up holding her stomach and back....I'm standing there in my night gown thinking she didn't bring me any pepsi..when she says we should go to the hospital and she doesn't want to go by herself. Okay so I dry my hair and get dressed and off I go .....she was dyhydrated. returning home at 1230AM I crawl into bed...alarm goes off at 610AM for me to drive the bus but hey it's always the week end.

My list of demands.......

If Obama becomes the president here is a list of demands...

Since he wants to spread the wealth, I will be expecting my check forthwith so that I can buy another kitten and more cross stitch...and my friend wants more cross stitch, Chocolate ice cream and maybe a kitten. And if I don't get it I am going to bitch and complain till I get it. So There.

Some Progress

I did stitch some yesterday on Cameron's stocking and hope to some more today. I will post a pic later, in the mean time here is a pic of Cameron himself.

She says the sampler is just perfect

We are going with the Jungle Baby Sampler by Stoney Creek for Wyatt. I showed it to Aimee and she loved it. She went to the Dr. and they think around the 17th of Dec. so we will see... I did stitch a little today.

My Stitching mojo went bye bye.....

Sadly I have nothing to show. I am hoping to improve since I still have a few things to do before Christmas. Oh and my lovely daughter calls today with the news it's already October 10th and can I believe it and blah blah blah. If she had been here I could have just smacked her.

Since June 9th 2008 you can see I have been a busy girl. Mia's stocking isn't hangin up on this picture cause I ran out of pegs but you can see hers in the sidebar. I still have 2 more that HAVE to be DONE this year. Hopefully I can make it.
